Have you ever wondered what it would take to adopt a wild mustang and bring it along to ride and enjoy? Is there a gap in your understanding? Well that can be bridged. Coming all the way from Montana, Mustang Matt will be here on the Central Coast to help bridge that gap.
Mustang Matt Bischoff
A well-known clinician, Mustang Matt (Matt Bischoff), emphasizes trust, respect and horsemanship. He is a current TIP trainer and has a storefront for the BLM and Mustang Heritage Foundation. He’s very experienced in colt starting, gentling BML mustangs and training mules and horses.
Central Coast Mustang Matt Clinics
Two clinics with adopters and their mustangs are taking place February 8-11, 2020 at Sweetbeau Horses in Creston.
- The Trust and Respect Clinic is Full (waitlist available). February 8 & 9. $400 total. Auditors are welcome.
- The Colt Starting Clinic is February 10 & 11 $550 total. There are 3 spots left. Auditors are welcome.
Mustang Matt gets a lot accomplished in a short period of time. He patiently reads the horses well while connecting that horse and rider. Matt teaches the riders and horses both at the same time what trust and respect is for both parties.
There are a few spots open for riders and their mustangs in the Colt Starting Clinic. Stabling is available on-site.
Auditors are encouraged and welcome to attend all days. Please come check it out. It’s $40/day to audit the Trust and Respect clinic & $50/day for the colt starting.

Sweetbeau Horses is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to save, train, and adopt out American Mustangs. It is our goal for these highly trained mustangs to be adopted by qualified forever homes, and to be our ambassadors by bringing awareness to the abilities of this magnificent breed. The vision doesn’t stop there. Eventually, we’re looking at growing our capabilities to provide equine therapy for military and first responders suffering from PTSD.
