Looking for a fun way to spend a day on the trail with your horse? Well, take a hand in a Poker Ride at the Los Flores Ranch in Orcutt on Saturday, November 11, 2017. The Central Coast of California Arabian Horse Association (CCCAHA) is hosting this fun Poker Ride for all riders.
A Poker Ride is where participants ride their horses through picturesque Central Coast locales and collect playing cards from volunteers situated along the route. At the end of the Los Flores Ranch ride each rider picks out his or her best poker hand and turns it in. The rider and teams with the best poker hand(s) wins a prize. If you aren’t an experienced poker player there will be diagrams to help you pick your best poker hand.

Additional Notes for a Very Fun Poker Ride
There are a lot of rocks in the Los Flores Ranch staging area, so be prepared to drive over or around them. A warm-up area is available for use although the ground is hard. Helmets are required for all minors. Bring your own lunch or make arrangements to purchase on on-site. Riders will be sent out in teams of 3-5 riders. You can pick your team or be assigned to one. The ride is moderate due to a few hills. Shoes for your horse are recommended because there are some rocky spots.
You must be a member or become a member of CCCAHA to ride. Membership forms will be available onsite.
Now mark your calendars, get your horse prepared and get ready to enjoy some fun time with friends or maybe meet some new ones at the Los Flores Ranch!
