Cowgirl Fashion

Cowgirl Fashion | SLO Horse News

How ‘bout them cowgirls? We’ve all heard the song by George Strait, professing his love and admiration for cowgirls. We are a pretty cool group…we have big attitudes and make big fashion statements to round out an already engaging package.

Recently, rodeo and cowgirl fashion trends have seen a reemergence, especially through social media. Western boutiques and fashion pages have been popping up all over social media feeds, and it has been pretty inspiring, especially for those of us who have been “cowgirls” all our lives.

If you have been inspired by these reemerging trends, then look no further! We have compiled a list of bold and staple pieces to dress today’s cowgirl. Whether in the saddle, working on the ranch, or going out on the town, there is sure to be something here to help you spruce up your cowgirl look.

Cowgirl Fashion | SLO Horse NewsCowgirl Fashion – Ariat Western Cruiser Cactus Print

Cowgirl fashion isn’t the only growing trend – cacti are becoming a wildly popular accessory, decoration, and design. So why not combine the two trends, and put an adorable and fashionable cactus print on a pair of Ariat leather cruisers? Pair with some cactus themed jewelry, and you’ll be good to go from the ranch to a night on the town “cowgirl style”.

If you like the Ariat cruisers, but aren’t a fan of the cactus design, this beautiful and colorful floral design is sure to catch your eye. These cruisers would go perfectly with the floral Rodeo Quincy Western Themed Ball Cap, which is featured later in this list!

Along with the reemergence of cowgirl fashion, we have also seen a growing trend of trouser style jeans. These jeans embody that trend, but in a very elegant and flattering way. If you have been wanting to try some trousers to compliment your cowgirl statement pieces, give these jeans a try! They would pair perfectly with any of the other items on this list, too!

This fashionable fringe vest will go with virtually any cowgirl outfit. Its perfect for a night out, a concert, or just as an everyday accessory! Pair it with the trouser jeans featured earlier in this list for the perfect starting point to a cowgirl fashion wardrobe.

What would a story about cowgirl fashion be without some Rodeo Quincy thrown in the mix? This wild rag mixes brandings, traditional western illustrations, and bold colors to be a statement piece for any cowgirl’s wardrobe. The bright red would be perfect paired with some bright red lipstick, too.  If you want to be bold, this is your look!

This beautiful floral ball cap will complete any cowgirl look. The floral design is definitely eye-catching, but subdued enough to be an everyday kind of hat. Perfect for a day at the barn or a day out on the town, this ball cap is a staple item for your cowgirl fashion wardrobe.

Cowgirl Fashion | SLO Horse NewsCowgirl Fashion – Leather Hand-Carved 1 ½ inch Hat Band in Turquoise

This is by far one of my favorite products on the list. With this beautiful hand-carved leather hatband, you can dress up any outfit, be it while you are in the saddle or not. This hat band would look beautiful on any hat, and would compliment other turquoise pieces in your wardrobe perfectly.
