This German Master Teacher embodies an in-depth understanding of Dressage, and brings experience in Hunter/Jumpers and Eventing. He has literally grown up with the sport of Dressage and has produced 18 Grand Prix horses starting from the lower levels.
Catch Gerhard at Two Clinics in Santa Ynez This Year
Gerhard Politz is currently based at Flintridge Riding Club in LaCañada, California and conducts clinics around the world. He’ll be in our neighboring county of Santa Ynez at Refugio Road Ranch, 2181 N Refugio Road, for two clinics this year: July 28-29, 2018 then again November 10-11, 2018.
Sarah Graham, clinic host who has ridden with him since 1991, has this to say about Gerhard: “Gerhard is a highly experienced professional, having been a trainer for many years, competed internationally, and highly involved in the USDF trainer certification, writing of the dressage tests, and young rider training, among other things. I always learn a lot!!”
Bring Out the Best in Your Riding
Come discover how you can get the best out of your riding as a participant in the Gerhard Politz clinic or come glean from others as an auditor. Dressage and/or Eventing riders will appreciate his approach to a tailor-made lesson for each horse/rider combination.
Each riding session is $165 with half of Gerhard’s fees going to the Dressage Foundation earmarked for budding young professionals.

Refugio Ranch Road is located at 2181 N Refugio Road in Santa Ynez, The facility offers plenty of seating in the shade, dinner for participants on Saturday on site, plenty of parking, and stabling available for $25/night.
