T.A.M.E. – An Unforgettable Journey with a Once-Wild Mustang

Campers will embark on an unforgettable journey alongside our once-wild, American mustangs. T.A.M.E. isn’t just a name; it’s a theme for this intimate and hands-on camp out. Campers will dive into the world of natural horsemanship, communication, gentling, liberty training, and exploring what it means to calm the fear in these iconic symbols of freedom. Your final day will conclude with you and the mustang you have worked with most showing what you have learned together.

T.A.M.E. – The American Mustang Experience

Campers – girls aged 8-14 – get to choose a mustang from the Sweetbeau Horses herd to partner with for the four days of camp. Each day the girls will experience something new with their horse partner with a focus on liberty and groundwork. Fun, horse-themed arts and crafts, horse painting, equine body work and stretches (taught by an equine body worker) and learning about Native American symbols round out the activities. In addition, a two-hour trail ride with Central Coast Trail Rides will give them saddle time on a seasoned horse. Playtime includes cooling off in the pool, movie nights and meals together.

T.A.M.E. Camp Details

Sweetbeau Horses has rescued, gentled and rehomed wild mustang horses since 2016. Operating a non-profit rehoming program in Creston, Sweetbeau Horses gives wild mustangs a chance for a new life with a loving home.
