Have you ever wanted to take up the lines and sit in the carriage driver’s seat? Well you can get in the carriage driver’s seat at an upcoming clinic hosted by our local driving club, Brass Oaks Driving Society. Spend a day getting an introduction to carriage driving while enjoying the view from the carriage driver’s seat. Everything from drafts to minis will be on hand to give you experience with each one. Try it to see if you like it!
Get in the Carriage Driver’s Seat
The clinic will be held on January 12, 2019 at 235 Cimmarron in Arroyo Grande. Members of Brass Oaks Driving Society will have a variety of turnouts available for you to try all kinds of carriage driving. Several members are truly tops in their fields. Several members like, Diane Kastama, are World Champions. All you’ll need is a helmet – if you don’t have one there will be extras to borrow. There is no fee to participate.
All interested drivers will need to RSVP by January 10, 2019. You will be required to sign a release and wear a helmet. There is plenty of parking but no food will be available on the grounds. Come and stay all day or just get a little bit of driving in. The day starts at 10:00 and will continue until all participants have had a chance to drive. All ages are welcome! Please RSVP Diane Kastama firstname.lastname@example.org 805-458-2428 .
Information on local driving trainers and instructors will be available along with membership forms for Brass Oak Driving Society.
