The Pacific Coast Cutting Horse Association is pleased to announce the 2012 Golden Hills Auto Center Futurity. The event will be held at the Paso Robles Event Center in Paso Robles, CA from October 24 through November 4. The Futurity is the highlight of the Pacific Coast Cutting Horse Association events offering more than a million dollars in cash and prizes over the two week show. The Title Sponsor of this fabulous cutting event is the Golden Hills Auto Center, which along with owner Mark & Sheila Borjon have been staunch supporters and sponsors of the Futurity since 2007.
Exciting new Sponsors to this year’s aged event include the Wagonhound Land & Livestock boosting the added money in the 5/6 Year Old Open to $35,000. Also welcoming Carol Ward Cutting Horses for her support in the Intermediate Open Division with $20,000 added within the Open Futurity, and the Teresa Home Futurity Non Pro Incentive bonus with more than $2,500 distributed to the Non Pro Futurity Finalists.
The PCCHA Open Futurity is open to 3 year olds and has a $110,000 added purse. The Non Pro Futurity also for 3 year olds has $30,000 added. Other events regularly held with the Futurity include PCCHA $200,000 Non Pro Futurity, $50,000 Amateur Futurity, PCCHA Gelding Stakes (limited to 3 year old geldings by 2013 PCCHA Subscribed Stallions), PCCHA Cutting Stakes (limited to 4 year olds by 2012 PCCHA Subscribed Stallions), PCCHA $50,000 Amateur Cutting Stakes (limited to 4 year olds by 2012 PCCHA Subscribed Stallions), the PCCHA 5/6 Year Old Non Pro with $15,000 added, the 5/6 Year Old $200,000 Non Pro and the 5/6 Year Old $50,000 Amateur. Gelding Divisions, Senior Divisions (55 & older) and $100,000 Limited Non Pro Divisions will also be held within a variety of these classes.
The 2012 Golden Hills Auto Center Futurity will also feature a new signature event on Saturday night, October 27th. The PCCHA Youth Scholarship Fund will host a Gala Event to present the 2012 PCCHA Members Hall of Fame and the Ed Smith Memorial Award winners, while raising funds for the PCCHA Youth Scholarship programs. Sponsorship package opportunities are being offered for a pledge of $1,000 to $400 which includes special recognition in the Futurity advertising as well as VIP privileges at the event. All proceeds from this exciting event will benefit the PCCHA Youth Scholarship program which provides PCCHA youth member’s opportunities to achieve their goals of higher education from their involvement in West Coast cutting.
