Spring Fling Easter Equestrian Play Day

Get a great start with a low-key Easter equestrian play day that ideal for beginners, yet challenging enough for experienced riders to sharpen their riding skills or try something new.  The Spring Fling Easter Equestrian Play Day is scheduled for April 1 – no foolin’ – at Ocean Breeze Equestrian Center in Arroyo Grande. The first class starts at 9:00 am.

Spring Fling Easter Equestrian Play Day

The Spring Fling Easter Equestrian Play Day hosts a horse show with both English and Western classes. In addition, the day includes horse games, family games for all, an Easter Egg hunt and a Drill Team presentation. This Play Day is for any level rider, riding either English or Western on any horse is welcome to participate. Ribbons awarded to 6th place for all classes and games. High Point and Reserve Champion prizes awarded for the horse show.

Horse Show Classes and Games

Classes are $10/class or $60 for the day. Entries open on March 3 and close on March 17, 2023. See sign up info below. Family and friends are welcome to join in on the free Easter Egg hunt and family games. Enjoy dressing yourself and your horse up in bunny ears, flowers, Easter bonnets, etc. A lot of the kids dress up. Everyone receives an Easter basket and eggs with goodies.

General Info

Ocean Breeze Equestrian Center is located at 315 Jenner way, in Arroyo Grande. It’s located just off El Campo on the Arroyo Grande mesa.

Please note: limited seating on the premises may get filled, so bring chairs. There is a covered viewing area. Bring your own lunch. Free parking on site and there is plenty of trailer parking in the field on the neighbor’s property for a small parking fee. Limited stabling is based upon availability of pens. Please ask about stabling options when you sign up. Stallions are welcome to be ridden only by riders over the age of 18.

A few lesson horses can be shared by two riders, one English and one western. However, they tend to get reserved very quickly. There’s an additional $10 per day charge for use of lesson horse.
