Mixed Western and English style riding sessions are available and every session ends with its own horse show.

Anyone is Welcome at the Summer Horse Camp

Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced camps for all ages are currently scheduled and ready for you. Anyone looking to improve his or her horsemanship skills will enjoy all the activities at Horsefeathers Summer Horse Camp. Heather Genameyer is the instructor and BSA Merit Badge Counselor. This is her 9th annual year of offering summer horse camp sessions. The one thing she looks forward to the most is watching beginning campers learn how to independently catch, tie-up, groom, tack-up, bridle, mount and care for their horse with less help every day.

July Summer Horsefeathers Horse Camp Sessions

There are five weekly sessions open in July. Camp runs Monday – Friday from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. One week of camp including the horse and tack starts at $375. Closing date is the week before camp starts, but horses get reserved fast. Ask Heather about discounts. All sessions will be held at 315 Jenner Way, Arroyo Grande. A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a horse.

Campers will bring their own lunch and snacks. Parents are welcome to stay and watch but should bring their own chair. Easy trailer in and out make bringing your own horse convenient. See flyer for contact information.
